Joe
Joe Dooley was born in Ilford when it was still Essex. Whilst the other members of his family were achieving chart success as ‘’The Dooleys’’, Joe completed his studies at the University of East Anglia.
It was here he developed his own singer/songwriting skills and went on to play solo in clubs and at festivals throughout the UK and Europe. In the 1990s Joe renewed his contacts with Scandanavia , now having made over 25 tours, managing to climb the highest mountains of Norway in between shows.
Back in England, almost by accident , he found himself teaching the guitar to youngsters and passing on what had become by then a considerable amount of performing experience. This set the pattern in that Joe continued to perform to live audiences in the UK and abroad whilst building up a stable of budding guitarists. Moving his base to Berkshire in 2000, Joe began working with Kathy Dooley’s actor husband Andrew Mackintosh to build up a veritable repertoire of songs spanning the last 50 years that can only be described as ‘Bloody Good Music!’.
Andrew
Andrew Mackintosh was born in Reading, Berkshire, Pennsylvania, USA but has lived most of his life in the UK. He trained at Bristol University and the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art before embarking upon a career as an actor and musician. He has worked extensively in British theatre, television and radio as an actor, and as a musician, composer and musical director.
Andrew took a long break from acting but has recently returned with the release of “Letter from Helvetica”, an epistolary novel, written by Andrew, that is now available as a dramatised podcast on all major podcasting platforms.
Music is something he has always continued with and the close musical relationship that he has built with Joe over the years helped to keep the creative juices flowing.
Andrew has three beautiful daughters from his first marriage, two grandsons and one granddaughter around whose little fingers he will undoubtedly remain wound forever. And why not.
